Paige VanZant asked about Newcastle securing Champions League football, she had a priceless reaction

Paige VanZant had a priceless reaction when she was asked about Newcastle United's huge achievement of securing Champions League football.

Newcastle secured a top-four finish following their goalless draw at home to Leicester City last Monday.

They'll play in the Champions League next season, having enjoyed a brilliant campaign under Eddie Howe this term.

But not everyone is thrilled or aware of the magnitude of Newcastle's accomplishment. Well, that's judging by the former UFC star's reaction.

She hosted a Q&A on Instagram, where she fielded a host of questions from her adoring fans. One of them happened to be a Newcastle fan, who asked her: "Thoughts on Newcastle getting into the Champions League?"

VanZant cut a confused figure as she was rendered speechless before saying: "I have no idea what this means."

The 29-year-old then tried to figure out what Newcastle could possibly be as she hilariously added: "Newcastle... it could be a bowling league, it could be a baseball league, I have no thoughts."

VanZant not having a clue about Newcastle's Champions League achievement shouldn't diminish the incredible job Howe has done at St. James' Park.

The 45-year-old has produced managerial heroics this campaign, resulting in Newcastle playing in next season's Champions League.

On the draw against the Foxes which cemented a top-four finish, he said: "I'm feeling good. It's been a hectic few days. To be honest, for me, it's onto planning and preparing for next season straight away, really, because once the season ends the players will break and I won't see them again, so there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes.

"But I think it's an incredible achievement, and so pleased that we were able to do it in front of our supporters and get it done there, and the scenes after were brilliant to be part of."

On the prospect of playing Champions League football, he continued: "It's an amazing thing.

"We're looking forward to it, to next season and to the challenge.

"We've started that preparation and it will be a thing, when we get the draw and see who's in our group, I think that will be when it really kicks off."
